West Edmonton Mall (WEM), located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, is the largest shopping mall in North America. The Mindbender is the world’s largest indoor triple loop roller coaster.
We did make it to the mall. Here is just a couple levels.
It was Spring, 1988, two Canadians, David and Brian jump in their big green Chevy truck for the road trip of a lifetime! Originally titled Davids Fishing Trip, this video takes you back to a bygone day of travel before cell phones, the internet and GPS. How did they do it??!! Watch and see! This was originally done to Madonna’s ‘Holiday’ but they yanked the audio. I’ll have to recut it.
Local kayak clubs rent the wave pool at the West Edmonton Mall a few times every winter. It’s a welcome break from flat water pool sessions and probably the easiest place to learn to surf. It’s also ideal for practising wavewheels and kickflips.
