The Calgary Stampede has taken over the city every July since 1923. In this book, many facets of the Stampede experience—the parade, native participation, the midway, cowboy art—are examined as a part of Calgary’s identity. These video interviews feature Max Foran, Professor in the Faculty of Communication & Culture at the University of Calgary. Foran’s book was published by Athabasca University’s AU Press in May of 2008. For more information about this book and others from AU Press, please visit www.aupress.ca

This was taken at “Country Music Week” in Calgary, Alberta. Boy did we have ourselves a time there! Touring all over Alberta and sharing the stage with the likes of Johnny Cash, Aaron Tippen, Pam Tillis etc. We can’t wait to get out west again this year to play for all our friends in Alberta! See you soon!
