Why do we love Alberta? Because it’s a place for people realizing possibilities. We come from different backgrounds, from different places, but we’re working together toward a better future. For the world.
The Calgary Stampede has taken over the city every July since 1923. In this book, many facets of the Stampede experience—the parade, native participation, the midway, cowboy art—are examined as a part of Calgary’s identity. These video interviews feature Max Foran, Professor in the Faculty of Communication & Culture at the University of Calgary. Foran’s book was published by Athabasca University’s AU Press in May of 2008. For more information about this book and others from AU Press, please visit www.aupress.ca
